I use them, have recently renewed with them for a 3rd year.
All I can say is they've been great with me. They've paid out thousands (literally) without a quibble & hardly put the insurance up on renewal. I've no complaints.

We never really know how good an insurance company is until we have to make a claim.

Thankfully Caryll can state how good Sainsburys are.

I don't have insurance Blushing I dont want to s

But have recently been thinking of getting it and was looking at either Argos platinum or Sainsburys, there's only £1 difference in the monthly payments but slightly more with Sainsburys for the vet fees!

We have insured Rocky with Argos Pet Insurance on a Lifetime policy. The premium is £15.24 per month.

We were previously with PetPlan who wanted £22.50 per month for the same cover.

With Argos we went for the Platinum Policy which should pay out £7,000 in vet fees, £2 Million in 3rd Party Liability and with £65 excess per incident.

Hope this helps. Rocky is insured as a Staffy cross which he is.

If anyone does take up Sainsbury's could they say I recommended it? There was an offer of some vouchers for both parties (don't know if there still is!).

I'll be insuring 2 dogs and they want £33.50, Bailey and the new pup! Might put Bailey as a Staffy cross since he doesn't have papers or anything!

Sainsburys pay out £7,500 in vet fees, £2 million 3rd party liability, but £75 excess plus 10% of claim costs!

I think the area where you live can effect the policy amount too.

Most of the well known insurance companies are ok at paying out, so it'll come down to what each one offers & how it suits you.

Its all swings and roundabouts in the end. If you go through compare the market you also get the meercat toy as seen in the TV advert, we now have one in our collection. These toys are now quite prized apparently and fetching a high price on EBay I dont want to s

Agreed as it is the test point . Direct Line paid up without any quibbles to a couple of small claims for us but the policy wasn't brilliant.

I don't have the papers for mine. Can you really put him down as a staffy cross?

If you're not absolutely sure that a dog's pure bred (ie pedigree) then it's just as likely that it's a cross. So, saying staffy cross isn't lying.

We went with Sainsburys but paid over the interweb and now get triple nectar points for a year as we do all our shopping in Sainsburys ( you don't have alot of choice in Bath) so worked out better than the £50 in the long run

Hi
I have looked in to the staffie cross thing. I don't think I'll do it! It's what your dog looks like.i.e if it looks like a staffy then you have to insure him as such . Especially when its the spit of one. if its the size of a great dane etc etcits obviously a cross.Papers I had been informed are irrelevant . They will also ask your vet and he has to give an honest opinion.

Of course it's up to you guys!Smile)
