Shoutbox?

Most forums have a shoutbox, which is quite a good thing to have so we can all talk to each other about things, and ask questions and what not. It would also be good to know who's online and active on the forums.

The shoutbox is like the Chat Room but you get ''online'' on the shoutbox as soon as you log into your account and it stays on top of the website so we can always check it instead of having to click a link to go into the chat room, I've also noticed that no one really goes on the chat room which is a shame and that's why I'm wondering if you guys would like a shoutbox.

What I meant was a shoutbox in the home page not in separate link, for example, when you click home at the top of everything the shoutbox would be there and then by scrolling down you'd see the forums. This is just an idea since most forums I've been on have a shoutbox. The chat room is also very empty most of the time and if you're on the chat room you can't browse through the forums unless you have two tabs open to do both at the same time.

I don't think we really need one. If we want to say something we just start a thread up!

A GSD forum I'm on has one, and it's only used for silly things like "Hello, I'm here". Nothing important!

voted no , maybe I'm just old fashioned and like the forum how it is If conversations , advice etc is started up in charrooms then you run the danger of missing out or people asking when nobody is there. If you start a thread and ask now , you will still find it tomorrow and reply

No. I sawa website with one and it was the most annoying thing ever and made me leave that forum.
