**NEW ALERT WITH ACTUAL PHOTO**
MILO, Staffie, male, 3 years old, brindle with white on chest, paws and around neck. Milo was being walked on the park area at the back of Mousesweet Close, Dudley DY2 9JU on 19.01.13 between 00.00 and 00.30hrs. His owner was approached by 4 youths wearing hoodies, they threatened him saying they were going to take his dog. As they approached the dog, the owner released Milos harness and told him to run. Milo ran off into the wooded area towards Darby End Road, two of the youths chased Milo and the other two chased the owner. There have been no sightings of Milo so we are classing him as MISSING PRESUMED STOLEN.

This has genuinely really upset me. I bet the owner is distraught and such a horrible way for the wee man to go.

I'll also add even though I know it won't help Milo or the owner but I pray the hoodies get what they deserve. This is a massive fear of mine, I warn my girlfriend about this constantly.

I am worried sick, I only live about 40 miles from Dudley and Coventry is like a small Birmingham with hoodies but a smaller number, me and my b.f have talked about this and decided we will fight till death to protect Bruno if approached.

Bloody scum better pay for this.

I've never had anything like that said to me thankfully. I'm a big enough fella and Logan is a big dog so thankfully those sort of morons tend to leave me alone. I despise them though and worry so much for my family especially my Mum when she would be out and about. I have warned my gf never to walk alone when it's dark etc.

I could get very angry about this issue to be honest. There's nothing I hate more. I hate to see people terrorised where they live, especially when it's the vulnerable that are prayed upon. And, now a beautiful animal has died and someone has lost their pet

There is a little good news, a white transit van was lose in Essex stealing peoples dogs in front of the owners in some cases, they stole a lot of dogs...well, the van was pulled over and the culprits were arrested.

OMG that is so sad, unbearable. The poor owner, I feel so much for him. I would love to see someone try and do this if I had Skibadee, they would have a staffy on their leg and a knee in their wotsits!

This has really upset me why would you even go through the trouble of stealing a dog and then kill it? Unless the dog died because of something else. Still horrible though, people are evil. I've always felt pretty safe walking Loki, but this really brings it back to reality. RIP to Milo

Yes, I heard the news of FB and all it said was with a heavy heart I tell you Milo has been found dead inn a nearby canal.

There is about 4 new photos with the message, one as a very small baby, you could tell Milo was really loved by his owner.

It is such a horrible thing to happen poor poor Milo and his owner. I would be distraught if anything happend to Maggie. I'm like you though I would put up a bloody good fight to stop anyone taking her. Hope the people who did this gets whats coming to them, I am a strong believe in karma.

I am in a bad area so it's worrying, we even have to get a taxi to a decent park as the local none is not safe, wish I could get out but I am pretty much trapped.

What Im going to say is very wrong, but sometimes, In situations like this, I wish our Staffys would show a little agression, just to scare these scum bags off. I do not condone any Volience, but personally, if their caught, I'd love to go to the court and kidnapp them. Then leave dog lovers deal with it. When the hell is our Country and many more going to grow a back bone and put Animal welfare top of the list...........

We need an animal cruelty register for these people who commit this hideous crimes.

Personally I would prefer them tattooed permently on the forehead with the words ANIMAL ABUSER!!!!

Milos owner Chris guest has gone to the newspapers warning other dog owners about dog napping, he's that devestated he's thinking of moving out of the area where Milo was approached by thoses thugs, it was just him and Milo so it's obvious Chris will be gutted.

Poor bloke , I would be absolutely devastated . Just so pleased I don't live in an area like this

I know it's not the best place to live but it's better than having nowhere to live.

I won't take Bruno out at night in case he gets robbed off me.

It's pretty safe to say you can run into the wrong people absolutely anywhere. My area is quiet enough (apart from irritating local kids) but I have bumped into groups of rough lads before. I've always wandered what would happen if it had been my Mum etc.

I think you are very wise not taking him out at night.

I have never had any problems here even though it's rough as hell, you get drug raids and fights but I keep myself to myself but now I have puppy and with them being stolen I will have to be more cautious.

Like I said I would fight to the death for him like a mother lion would do for her cubs and I am abit wild lol
