im just wondering if anyone has a parrot living alongside your staff ??

we have an african grey that is hilarious with knarla, he calls her name all the time then when she comes to his cage he flings all his food out for knarla to clean up haha ..

he also likes to swear abit, that is so funny as he shouts her over, then with his clicker noises (he picked that up pretty quick) when she was training, he then says "knarla, sit" so she does haha then the food goes out the cage whilst he is shouting "you little s.h.i.t *" "yeah you, ya s.h.i.t*"  Surprised  haha it is comical Laughing

at first knarla tried to get to him but now there good friends, apart from when she gets nipped off his big beak, then she darts around the house wanting to play haha to be fair the parrot is the boss out of the 2 Wink

Ah yes I have an African Grey.

He's over 40 now and knew my first Staff from when she was a puppy. He was actually my Mums Parrot and before she died she made me promise that he would be looked after so in effect I inherited him some 5 years ago.

When we were picked by Flo to come home from Battersea she came straight in and said hello to my eldest son and then the Parrot. She put her nose straight up to the cage at which point the bird stuck his beak at her... She hasn't done it since Laughing

The odd thing is, the bird used to say "Good Girl" when my old Staff walked passed him but stopped saying it soon after she died which must be nearly 30 years ago now but as soon as Flo came to live with us he started doing it again (brought back memories, it would have made my old Mum cry). Fortunately Flo is deaf and can't hear him taunting her Rolling Eyes

I do find it odd why Flo has to hoover up all the spilled seed, you'd think we didn't feed her so I'm glad to hear she's not the only one to do this Smile

Errrrr... They are supposed to be but I think mine was last in queue when brains were given out Laughing

He does one particular screech to get attention and no matter how much you give him as soon as you move away he will do the same screech again. This usualy results in him getting covered where he either goes to sleep or builds his nest at the bottom of his cage Rolling Eyes
