Any recommendations?

We're planning on going away in July, hoping to rent a little cabin/cottage this year, with lots of walks near by. I really want to go to Scotland but I'm not convinced that my little car will make it there and back!!

We're in Devon (Nr Tavistock) - preferably don't want to travel more than 5 hours Smile

Scotland by car would be a long road trip for me let alone you Rachel. Have you thought about the Forest of Dean, it's got loads of good walks and pubs and the locals are quiet friendly too Smile

Sorry lovely, just saw your reply. We're considering Inez's recommendation but also want to look at a few forests cause it'll be pretty warm by then so will definitely keep in mind! My little car has dramatically failed it's MOT and been scrapped! Got a newer little Clio now that I'm hoping might last a while longer!
