took faldo to a shop no even 2 mins away from where he lives and the owner was bitching about the dog being in the shop and suggested I tie him outside its actually illegal to refuse a guide dog anywhere in britain to a place regardless whether they are with their owner or not

That's disgusting. It seems to be a more common occurrence nowadays as I've seen it in the papers recently. A restaurant wouldn't let a guide dog in. It's against the law, I'd definitely call the police and name and shame the places.

as far as i am aware, the laws regarding assistance dogs only apply if the dog is with its owner or under training & with its trainer. The shop owner should haved asked, though & if they don't allow dogs they should have a sign up, saying so.

It's in the news again today. An Uber driver refused to let a guide dog in his taxi. I'm so sick of hearing stories like this. Any company who refuses a guide dog needs to be prosecuted.

This guy said it was against his religion and he was scared in case the dog LICKED him! I know the stories we hear in the press but it's worrying how many older or vulnerable people don't complain about this discrimination and just accept it.

Can't believe it's 2016 and companies are trying to deny guide dogs.

i still think that they can refuse if the dog's owner isn't there, and they have a sign saying "no dogs". the assistance dog (i think) must be with the person it is assisting, if you see what i mean?

i understand but they can ask to see the dogs passport every assistance dog has one
