site viewing problem solved ( apple mac )

just posting this in case it be of help to site viewers ..

a while ago i both updated my mac's OS .. and also the 'safari' web browzer ..
after doing so .. ' staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard. ' refused to display properly
icons and images would not display ( except photobucket images and some adv. images )
there would be a blue box with a ?mark where icons and images should be
the post reply box had all its extra options gone ..

sort of was a put off from looking at the site
never mind posting anything ..

no idea what the problem was .. i suspect apple security updates
but not sure .. however ' staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard. ' was the only site that had viewing problems
although ch4 news now refuses to work .. but oddly ch4 catch-up does work ..including the news ..

ok .. so i tried an old version of the 'sea monkey ' web browzer
result .. ' staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard. ' .. appeared as it should
but .. refused to let me accept the privacy policy box ..

above would be
mac OS 10.9.5 .. safari browzer 9.1.3

solution with same mac OS .. be the latest version of 'sea monkey '2.49.3
all works as it should now .. although ..
yet to use the img.server to try and upload and display any pics
( my avatar has uploaded and displays properly )

I'm sorry to say I didn't understand a word of that!

You would have thought that all updates would be backwards compatible, sadly this is all too often not the case
